Whenever I read a new blog I'm always the Nosey Nellie wanting to know alllll about the author.

So here is a page for my fellow Nellies.

My name is Heather and I'm a born and raised Minnesotan. But I'm not the outdoorsy, rugged type of Minnesotan. I'm the type that really enjoys summer, spring, and fall and really dislikes winter. I come from a long line of outdoorsy types and for many years I've thought that I really belong elsewhere. But when it comes down to it this is where my family is, and it is home. It really is a great place when you forget about the freezing cold and all the snow.

I'm a teacher at an online school, which is not at all what I ever imagined doing when I was in college studying to be a K-8 teacher, but I love it. Most people assume that I work from home and have my little guy right there with me when they hear I teach online. Not so much. I work 2-3 days in the office, and 2-3 days at home, depending on the week. I am not allowed to care for a baby while I'm working- as it should be! I know that I would get pretty much nothing accomplished outside of nap time if he were home with me. I doubt that my online school will be my life plan, but it is certainly my 5 year plan.

I fell in love with my husband, Mike, when I was still in high school. At my very first job I met this guy that- I kid you not- I wrote about in my diary. I still have it! I wrote about this wonderful guy that was totally perfect for me. A year or so later we were dating, and 10 years later we are married with a baby and a house. Livin' the dream.

I think that might be it. I like to be crafty, I like to plan parties, I like to dabble in sewing, I like to run I'd like to start running again, I like to empower fellow mamas, and I like to be with my friends and family both near and far.
